with Jayne Nicholls creator of Barre Fitness
The newest member of our team. I could watch Annalie dance all day, she has an intrinsic flow and precision. We love her at GXT and cannot wait to see her present Barre Fitness with authentic ballet style.
Annalie began vocational training in dance age 11yrs at The Hammond School, Chester, culminating in a 3yr performing arts diploma at London Studios centre. Throughout this time she worked with many choreographers including Nicky Bentley, Lea Andersson, Stephen Mear and Gillian Gregory. She’s performed in pop videos, productions & adverts including work with Cathy Dennis, Chaucers Canterbury Tales, Halifax (advert) and Stephen Way Hair (world hair shows).
Getting injured early in her career led her down the fitness road to her first ETM qualification working for independent dance studios and leisure centres in and around London.
Fast forward through relocation, marriage, 2 children, a Pilates teaching diploma and working as a freelance instructor and ETM/Pilates assessor. Because of her dance backround Annalie was often asked to set up an ‘adult ballet class’ . So, fusing this with her fitness qualifications and the lure of bringing some childhood memories back to some she formulated her own Ballet Barre Fitness class which quickly grew and became popular with all ages and gender! Taking it one step further – she qualified as an Antigravity Airbarre teacher and teaches Barre upsidedown too!!
She is thrilled to be on board the Barre 360 journey and with Jayne’s support and guidance she hopes to be sharing the joys of this Ballet, Barre and fitness fusion with many in the future.
“This class crosses the board – it can be full on ballet or hardly any, its a tone & sculpt class, a conditioning and stretch class, a full blown dance class – the possibilities are endless and completely up you, your strengths, and your class. It will evolve with you and best of all, the results your clients will have when doing it regularly are amazing!”
No picture, no bio – why? Di loves teaching and presenting but not one part of her desires the lime light. A unique talent who excels at everything she chooses to love. Di shows that a passion for teaching overrides a lifetime of ballet training – just enjoy what you do and it will be more than OK. I am so lucky to have Di working with GXT and I really hope that you enjoy her work. She truly represents a successful instructor in ways too numerous to mention.
It is not really dance unless Helen has got involved! Her legacy is her commitment to all styles of dance taught in the community and at fitness conventions. Her unique style, wit and wisdom make her a true fitness dance diva.
Helen is a multiple aerobics champion, (UK, European and world games) competitive gymnast, professional dancer and choreographer, Helen started teaching group dance classes over 30 years ago and was formally recognised by her peers, when she won UK Fitness leader of the year.
By combining Helen’s creative skills with an extensive education in Health and Fitness and a former college lecturer, course director she has created DYBO Academy.
Anyone wanting to take the “next step” and learn to self create dance fitness should ‘hot foot it’ to Dybo – where you will find her courses and masterclasses a constant source of inspiration and a guaranteed route for independant success.

I moved into modern dance after my parents saw fit to send me to ballroom from an early age, this is still a touchy subject in the Nicholls household but I am now over it and we have all moved on! I went on to study contemporary dance and english at Roehampton University and my degree has been a constant source of inspiration throughout my fitness career. Barre Fitness has taken me back at a pivotal time in my career and I just love it – hope you do too.
