Here at GXT we provide an immersive online experience, allowing you to study at home online via workbook & video content. If however you need a further helping hand we have monthly zoom workshops and masterclasses designed to hep you complete your units and create practical content
I guess what you want to know in the first instance is whether this course is covered and endorsed by the necessary industry governing bodies. The standards are set out by OFQUAL, our awarding body is FOCUS AWARDS and it is recognised by CIMSPA. GXT is also a CIMSPA partner offering CPD credits on many of our ongoing courses. So you can feel safe and confident in the knowledge that your prospective employers will accept your qualification as the industry standard. It also means that as you advance your qualifications, your existing work will be acknowledged.

We offer two training options:
The following information is a guide to help you assess your eligibility for this course and the amount of work involved. We are always happy to answer any questions if you would prefer a telephone consultation.
This qualification comprises 6 units:
Unit 1 Anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology for exercise and health D/617/8589
Unit 2 Principles of health and wellbeing for exercise, fitness and health Y/617/8588
Unit 3 Know how to support clients lifestyle management and enhance client motivation for exercise and physical activity R/617/8590
Unit 4 Principles of professional practice, and health and safety in a fitness environment Y/617/8591
Unit 5 Planning & Instructing professional practice with effective consultations and assessments for group sessions.
Unit 6 Planning & Instructing group fitness training sessions- learners will choose to complete their practical assessment in Group Fitness Interval Training or Group Fitness To Music.
Successful achievement of all six units must be achieved for the full qualification.

2 unit option – Successful achievement of units 5 (planning) & 6 (instructing) must be achieved
Your practical class is via a zoom or DVD submission; you will present a 60 minute class including 5 – 12 people.
Please note that in the very rare case that you are referred more than 2 times on your practical assessment, we charge a fee of £50 for re assessment.
FULL QUALIFICATION – There are no specific pre-requisite qualifications, but there is an element of discussing, presenting, reading and writing involved and learners should have basic skills in communication.
2 UNIT OPTION – You can complete the 2 specific Group Fitness units in planning and instructing group fitness if you currently hold a level 2 qualification with the following units:
Mandatory Units – if you hold different level 2 units, you can complete an update covering all new Level 2 content listed below.
You will need to submit a copy of your Level 2 certificate.
This is the industry standard qualification for adults (aged 16+) wishing to pursue a career either in the health and fitness sector or a community setting .
16 to 18 year-olds may need to be supervised in the workplace, once they have achieved the qualification
This course costs £475 for the full qualification which is fully inclusive of all learning materials and assessment.
We also offer the 2 Group Fitness specific units of planning and instructing for instructors with a current level 2 qualification, the cost is £275

Our interest free part payment scheme allows you to pay in separate instalments. The first payment is made as you book and subsequent payments are automatically taken on the same date the following months. We offer 4 months for the full qualification and 2 for 2 units.
